Accounting Clerk

As AcuFast continues to grow, we’re excited to expand our Accounting & Finance team with a new Accounting Clerk position at our Saskatoon office. This permanent, full-time role reflects our ongoing success and increased business volume and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a forward-moving company and grow their career.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Finance, this role will focus primarily on supporting all our US operations, while working closely with Sales and Operations team to ensure accurate reporting. Intermediate Excel skills are critical for success in this role, as you will be analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and managing invoice tracking with precision and speed.

This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not limited to:

• Process and enter customer invoices
• Collaborate with the sales team on invoicing details and follow-ups,
• Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and irregularities,
• Investigate and resolve customer and vendor queries professionally and promptly,
• Verify, code, enter, and reconcile accounts payable transactions,
• Use Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, filters, formula auditing) to analyze financial data and ensure accuracy,
• Perform customer credit checks and monitor compliance with credit policies,
• Compile and generate reports for management and internal stakeholders,
• Support the year-end audit process and perform variance analysis,
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

 The successful candidate would ideally possess the following experience and qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in accounting. Experience with complex pricing and creating invoices would be an asset.
• Knowledge of the agriculture industry would be considered an asset.
• Microsoft Excel skills are a must.
• Experience with accounting programs such as Great Plains would be considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency and attention to details.
• Can successfully work independently and cross-functionally in an autonomous work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
